What is it?
railsworld.com is a list of websites using the Ruby on Rails webapplication by popularity according to alexa. The site gives you and your customers a quick and up to date overview of the most influential rails sites.
When we started with Rails development customers often asked us if the technology is mature, stable, proven enough. Who else is using it? We first compiled a list on our own, later referred to different lists on the web ( including rails100 and rubyonrails.org ). After a while this was too cumbersome and there was always a site missing which triggered us to create railsworld.com. After some initial coding on the train between basel and bern (this is really ruby on rails) Jona did some design work and that's where we are today.
Which sites belong here?
railsworld.com should list "all" the public rails projects. No matter how small or big. The requirements:
- it must be built with rails
- it must be public
- it must be safe for work ( i.e. no pr0n )
What about <blank> .com?
The page has an 'user generated' part (yes that's you) to let us know about new sites and sites we missed. They will be reviewed and added to the index. Please give the servers some time to update the rankings.
You can also contact us to let us add a site or to remove sites which do not belong here. We're open to suggestions on how to continue with this - drop us a line.
railsworld.com is written and operated by Simplificator GmbH.
